British Columbia announces new support policy for forestry manufacturers
On April 23, 2025, British Columbia (BC) announced new support measures for forest manufacturers in the province. The provincial government said these measures will create sustainable jobs, strengthen local supply chains, establish new BC local products, and consolidate BC's leading position in heavy wood structural innovation.
Funding details
Through the BC Manufacturing Jobs Fund (BCMJF), the government will provide up to11 million Canadian dollarsThese projects will help British Columbia forest product manufacturers expand their businesses by building new production facilities, purchasing new equipment and adding high-value-added product lines, while creating and protecting hundreds of jobs.
